Suleymaniye Mosque Facts

Suleymaniye Mosque is the second-largest imperial mosque complex in the city. It was built during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The 4 minarets symbolized that Suleiman was the 4th sultan after the conquest of Constantinople. Where To Eat Around Suleymaniye

While visiting the mosque complex I mostly go there with my doner sandwich I buy from my favorite doner kebab vendor in the area. It is located in the same area and has been there since the 1950s. If you want to eat where local people eat try that doner kebab. It has a small sitting area across the street, but in beautiful weather, I would suggest getting your doner packed up with ayran drink and enjoying it at the terrace of Suleymaniye mosque with a beautiful Bosphorus view.

Here is another trip I shared in the same area. It will give you an idea of where else you can visit while planning to see Suleimaniye Mosque and where the doner vendor is.
